A gunman in military-style gear opened fire on Friday at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in which multiple people are killed.
Prime Minister Jacinda Arden called “one of New Zealand’s darkest days.”
The shootings took place in central Christchurch, close to where school children taking part in the Global Climate Strike were protesting.
New Zealand police commissioner Mike Bush told reporters that there were multiple improved explosive devices attached to vehicles as part of the attack.
